This image almost didn't happen. On this trip to Singapore, my 13-year-old daughter joined me so we could spend a little daddy/daughter time together. This particular morning was towards the end of our trip and she had done very well keeping to my schedule all week. Up each day at least an hour before sunrise, and staying out until way after dark. I was quietly impressed. On this morning, we had spent sunrise shooting the Singapore Financial district and then Singapore's famous Merlion as the city began to come alive. By the time we were passing by under the Esplanade Bridge, I could tell she was tired and hungry and very much looking forward to getting back to the hotel for the buffet breakfast. I saw this shot as we passed by and had relegated it to 'one that got away' in favour of maintaining my daughter's mood. Thankfully, she noticed a nearby juice stand and decided to grab herself one for the walk back to the hotel. In the few minutes while the vendor made her juice, I set up my tripod and captured this image. Then, we were off for breakfast and a well-earned rest.
